Our Regional Team Visits the Trial Gardens at Young’s Plant Farm (VIDEO)

Flower trials are an important part of our process, connecting our product with growers and learning what can make a program successful. Ball FloraPlant was part of a trial this summer at Young’s Plant Farm in Auburn, Alabama. We trialed our latest flower introductions and combinations at their gardens. Our varieties did not disappoint, and their performance in this region’s hot conditions were outstanding.

Check out Territory Manager Maria Bolinger’s review from the 2025 season, which include NEW varieties:

Salvia Mystical Blue and Salvia Mystical White, which are very well branched with tons of blooms. The White variety is a nice component in mixed containers, which also offers an early white option in mixed  combos.

Angelonia Archangel™ in Fuchsia and Light Pink, both with outstanding colors and real showstoppers.

Lantana Shamrock™ in Yellow, Lavender, and Lemon Glow, all with tons of blooms and a very appealing mounded habit, which is nice and tidy. Also great in landscapes.

Petunia Jewel Collection Radiant Ruby is a Double Petunia, which features a deep maroon color with a white outer edge. The size of the bloom is as big as a 50-cent piece and is remarkably weather- and heat-tolerant. This would be spectacular is a variety of mixes.

MixMasters™ Passion Week (featuring Angelonia Archangel Cherry Red Improved, Lantana PassionFruit and Scaevola White Sparkle) is a mix that is very heat loving and is great in a hanging basket.
