Wondering what varieties are the most sensitive to shipping? These are the crops that should be removed from the box and stuck first. Here from Ball FloraPlant is a URC Priority Sticking List for 2024-2025 that growers can download (as a pdf) as a reliable reference guide.
In addition to this grower-friendly list, other important resource information can be found in the How to Grow a Better Liner guide (download as a pdf). You’ll find explanations on why certain crops suffer from transportation stress more than others. And you’ll know that getting those crops stuck FIRST helps them thrive.
“When a customer receives their boxes of many different genus on the exact same day, there are crops that benefit from being stuck first,” according to Leland Toering, Ball FloraPlant Sales Manager for North America. “Typically, these crops are the most sensitive to shipping and being inside a box. Some customers will stick all their geraniums on Day 1, for example, and then stick the rest of their crops on different days. The file shows which crops we suggest to stick first and should have priority over other crops.”
