Ball FloraPlant
Sales & Marketing Team
We recently interviewed Product Manager Becky Lacy to explore the exciting new functionality on Ball FloraPlant’s website.

Example landing page of a specific variety. Visitors can scroll down the page to find a collection of combo images ready to create and sell.
This powerful feature is designed to help growers and customers easily discover real-world examples of plant varieties in action, streamlining decision-making and enhancing the growing experience. Whether you’re planning your next season or looking for proven Ball FloraPlant performers, this tool brings inspiration and practical insights right at your fingertips. Becky Lacy explains:
Q: How did this new functionality come about?
BL: We wanted to make it easier for growers and customers to visualize how each variety performs in real-world combinations. Our team kept hearing questions like: “How can I use this variety in mixes?” or “What does it pair well with?” So, we built this tool to connect the dots — when you click on a variety, you can instantly see all the MixMasters™ and FunFusion combos it’s featured in.

Visitors of the site can choose a specific variety and scroll down the page for a list of ready-made MixMasters™ flower combos.
Q: How will this help growers and/or salespeople?
BL: It helps take the guesswork out of planning combinations. Growers can quickly find proven recipes that include their favorite varieties, and our sales team can show customers how a single item fits into a larger program. It’s a practical way to inspire confidence and spark new ideas during planning.
Q: With the new exposure to Ball FloraPlant’s FunFusions recipes and MixMasters, what do you feel customers can learn about mixed combinations for their business?
BL: They’ll see that strong combinations aren’t random — they’re built on compatible vigor, timing, and color balance. By exploring these recipes, customers can get a better sense of which varieties consistently anchor great mixes and how to replicate that success in their own programs.
Q: Why do some varieties have more combos than others? What makes them more adaptable to your designs?
BL: Some varieties naturally lend themselves to more mixes — they have versatile growth habits, balanced vigor, and colors that complement a wide range of partners. Others are more specialized or have stronger characteristics that make them shine in select combinations. It’s all about flexibility and performance across seasons.
Q: What can we expect in Spring 2026 in terms of combo recipes?
BL: We’re expanding recipes for the shoulder seasons, adding more shade options and mixes that pair well with mums. You’ll also see new combos that spotlight Ball FloraPlant’s latest varieties — giving growers fresh ideas and flexibility across the seasons.
