I love using SolarPower in garden beds and my mixed combinations. It has just the right amount of vigor.

West Region

When grown in a 12-in. (30-cm) basket, SolarPower benefits from a pinch at 2-3 weeks after stick and generally does not require a PGR when grown at an ADT of 70°F (21°C) or lower.

Midwest, Canada and Northeast Region

We breed SolarPower to be the medium habit basket solution for the Midwest, Canada and the Northeast. We recommend a B-Nine 2,500 ppm spray 2 weeks after transplant to control finished growth.

South and Southeast Region

We recommend Spotlight, our compact Ipomoea for southern baskets. If a grower choses to grow SolarPower, we recommend a 1-2 ppm Bonzi drench 4 weeks after transplant, which will help to control growth in warm climates.
