We’ve trialed ColorRush in the ground in various climates. Time and time again, it lives up to its name by providing massive mounds of vibrant color. The chart at the right shows the flowering weeks you can expect by region.
BEST PRACTICES
West Region
Finish in an outdoor cold frame, where it can receive natural night temperatures as low as 32˚ F (0°C), but have some form of greenhouse roof protection to avoid frost exposure. PGRs in our trials were not needed when average daily temperature was below 54˚ F (12°C) in outdoor tunnels.
Midwest, Canada and Northeast Regions
Based on our Midwest trials, we recommend a Bonzi spray at 5 ppm 10 days after stick and a Bonzi drench at 5 ppm 3 to 4 weeks after transplant, if needed. This keeps plants from growing together on the bench.
South or Southeast Region
Finish in an outdoor cold frame, where it can receive natural night temperatures as low as 32˚F (0°C), but should not be exposed to frost during the production cycle. Since many locations in the South or Southeast will not be able to provide an average daily temperature under 54˚F (12°C), we recommend a Bonzi drench between 1 to 3 ppm to control finished growth.
